To be a successful Senior Data Protection Officer you will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to degree level with further certification in Privacy and Data Protection (ISEB / BCS/ PDP / CIPPe).Demonstrated expertise across the global regulatory environment, in particular, an in-depth understanding of the GDPR.Experience leading a Governance function to effectively assess and manage risk and ensure effective corporate governance across an international business.Strong communications skills with the confidence to build and manage relationships with senior staff.Experience delivering Board level reporting.A solid appreciation of legislative requirements and the ability to develop policies and draft detailed documentation.Working knowledge of IS / IT network architecture; network relationship of systems, applications and computers; transfer protocols and storage; and IT security protocols.CISA certification would be an advantage.Proactive and a good influencer with a flexible and adaptable approach.Ability to travel internationally several times each year to coordinate with their global offices.
