Position: Senior Data AnalystLocation: St Albans, Hertfordshire (20 Mins from Central London)Salary: £26,00 - £36,000 DOE + Bonus Scheme & Other BenefitsThe Company:Our client works with many of the UK’s leading brands – from John Lewis, M&S and Asda, to O2, River Island, and Arcadia.They are proud to have won recent MRS and AURA awards following nominations from their clients, including being short-listed for Agency of the Year 2017 – evidence of their high standing in the industry.Due to their continued success, they are now looking for a Senior Data Analyst, with the drive to work on challenging and high-profile projectsThe Senior Data Analyst Role:As the Senior Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical and management skills, while still getting hands-on experience with data processing techniques.Key Responsibilities of the Senior Data Analyst:Extracting, processing and transforming data collected through market research into a variety of outputs, from Excel tables to dynamic reporting dashboardsEnhancing your skills in data processing for quant research: scripting surveys and running data tables – seeking out best practice to efficiently produce complex outputs to match specificationsWorking across various pieces of technical software, providing logical and efficient solutions to problems, and designing and building new processesFrom early on, you’ll be given responsibility for project managing data processing for high profile clientsInvolved in supporting the training/mentoring and workload management of more junior team membersOpportunity to directly line manage members of the team, being responsible for their progress and development opportunities, supporting their growth and helping them do a great jobInput into the future direction of the team, with opportunities to build new techniques, test new software, and help define the best ways of integrating new challenges into our workWork closely with multiple teams in the business, from the Insight researchers to the IT Development team to get complex projects up and off the groundOpportunity to grow and develop within the team, working on statistics/analytics, working with Tibco Spotfire to produce complex reporting dashboards, or continued development of leadership and management skillsThe Ideal Candidate:2-3 years’ experience in a data processing team – preferably in a market research firm, including:Scripting online surveys using routing and piping to ensure the best respondent experience, with a detailed knowledge of any industry standard software (eg: Snap Surveys, Confirmit, Askia, or similar)Cleansing data and producing complex data tables from specifications using any industry standard software (eg: QPSMR, Merlin, Snap Surveys, or similar)Experience working with a bulk email service provider (such as SendGrid or SmartFocus) desirable but not essentialAdvanced skills in MS Excel and VBA for Excel are absolutely essential – be able to process large amounts of data confidently using a variety of functions and formulasKnowledge of any of the following a bonus but not essential: Spotfire, R, SPSSKeen aptitude to identify process improvements and efficiencies, and the tech knowledge to find, build and test an automated and dynamic solutionCapacity to plan and prioritise effectively in order to manage your own and others’ workAbility to work in a thorough, precise mannerA great team playerFantastic communications skillsKeenness to develop people management skills – including training, mentoring, and managing ongoing performance and career development of more junior team membersPay & Benefits:Competitive salary of £26-36k Dependent on Experience plus performance-related bonus scheme28 Days holiday plus your birthday and bank holidaysFlexible workingInternal and external training courses – a commitment to your personal developmentBuddy scheme, paid-for lunches and an interest-free season ticket loanA generously funded social committee run by employeesSt Albans location, just 20 minutes from central London and well connected to further afieldWhat’s Next?If you are interested in this exciting Senior Data Analyst position, simply apply via the button shown, including a Cover Letter and CV.Keywords: Senior Data Analyst, Scripting, MS Excel, VBA, Spotfire, R, SPSS, QPSMR, Merlin, Snap Surveys, SendGrid, SmartFocus St Albans, Hertford, LondonThis vacancy is being advertised by Net-Recruit.
