Due to expansion, a leading provider of web based applications is looking for a Trainee IT HelpdeskSupport Analysts to join their existing team located in Shipston on Stour. As the IT Helpdesk Support Analyst, you will be responsible for: • Providing helpdesk 1st line support via telephone and remote access tools.• Assisting with implementations progressing into development related tasks such as bug fixing and feature development. The successful IT Helpdesk Support Analyst will have the following skills and experience: • A level or equivalent in an IT related subject.• The ability to demonstrate independent learning and research skills.• Basic IT literacy with a keen interest in the sector.• Knowledge of Web Technologies.• Exposure to software Development tools.• This role would suit a school, colleague leaver or recent grad who is looking for their first full time role in IT and want to build a career.• Due to location a car driver would be preferable, however, the following villages are commutable via public transport, Moreton-in-Marsh, Banbury, Stratford upon Avon. You will be working Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm. In return, the Helpdesk Support Analyst will receive a salary of £17,000 - £22,000 per annum dependent on experience. Participation in a 24/7 Out of Hours Standby rota (typically 1 week in 4) will be required after a suitable period of training and assessment, for which you will receive an additional payment. As the Systems Engineer, your duties will be to: • Use your analytical skills you will fault find and problem solve appropriate technology.• Become a Subject Matter Expert in CLEARSCADA, utilise knowledge of RTU protocols, WAN technologies and ancillary technologies.• Be part of a team that provides 24/7 on-call cover on a 1 in 4 basis.• Provide performance reporting, regulatory compliance and systems reliability work on all aspects of Thames Water SCADA work.• Provide input to the capital programme at various stages through the project lifecycle, with emphasis on the delivery stage, ensuring that changes to the operational systems are risk mitigated and efficiently delivered.• Develop solutions, processes and procedures to improve our essential services. To be a successful Systems Engineer you will have the following skills and experience: • An expert in the application and use of CLEARSCADA.• Business focused with experience working with big databases.• Similar experience who is able to prioritise, think of the bigger picture and stay calm in a reactive environment.• Good working knowledge of IP communications and understanding of general WAN/LAN networking principles.• A higher qualification in an ICA related discipline and extensive experience in SCADA maintenance is essential.• Due to the nature of the role, a full UK, driving licence is required. In return, the Engineer will receive a salary of £34,000 - £46,000 per annum plus car allowance. The first stage of the application process is to apply online.
