The company employs circa 250 people on site and has an excellent track record of growth and ambitious plans for future expansion.They now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Co-ordinator to join them.The IT Co-ordinator Role:As the IT Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Company’s IT infrastructure - to ensure the Company meets its business objectives in an effective and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:
Develop a thorough understanding of the Company’s core ERP and MRP systems in order to provide support, implement upgrades and develop specifications for future developments to meet the changing needs of the businessDesign, develop, test and implement system enhancementsDevelop, implement and manage IT policies and procedures to ensure the Company’s information assets are properly protectedManage the key suppliers of IT hardware, software and services to ensure a quality service is provided in a cost effective mannerTrain end users to efficiently use all the Information Technology deployed within the businessPerform the function of local network administrator and support all hardware and software deployed within the business
Skills & Experience Required:In order to be successful in this IT Co-ordinator role, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the following;
Have a degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or a related subjectExperience of configuring and managing Windows AD Domains including backup/disaster recovery, DFS, VPN and WSUS technologiesExperience of managing Office 365, configuring Firewalls, routing, Vlans and virtualisation of servers using Hyper-VDevelopment experience specifically working on Microsoft Dynamics Navision, .NET and Microsoft SQLGood understanding of manufacturing business processes and enterprise resource planning (ERP)Tenacious, self-starter, committed and hardworkingHonesty and integrityClear verbal and written communication skills

£34,000 to £46,000 Per Annum
The largest water and waste-water services company in the UK is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its expanding team based in Newbury. Participation in a 24/7 Out of Hours Standby rota (typically 1 week in 4) will be required after a suitable period of training and assessment, for which you will receive an additional payment.

On a typical day, it supplies 2.6 billion litres of top quality drinking water and its 350-sewage treatment works to treat more than 4.2bn litres of waste-water. This high-profile role is at the forefront of an exciting time of change as the team is embedded within the business and brings technical expertise closer to the front line. You will be exposed to varied transformation projects across the sludge stream such as energy generation, energy consumption and chemical / de-watering and directly contribute to the success.
As the Systems Engineer, your duties will be to:
• Use your analytical skills you will fault find and problem solve appropriate technology.• Become a Subject Matter Expert in CLEARSCADA, utilise knowledge of RTU protocols, WAN technologies and ancillary technologies.• Be part of a team that provides 24/7 on-call cover on a 1 in 4 basis.• Provide performance reporting, regulatory compliance and systems reliability work on all aspects of Thames Water SCADA work.• Provide input to the capital programme at various stages through the project lifecycle, with emphasis on the delivery stage, ensuring that changes to the operational systems are risk mitigated and efficiently delivered.• Develop solutions, processes and procedures to improve our essential services.
To be a successful Systems Engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
• An expert in the application and use of CLEARSCADA.• Business focused with experience working with big databases.• Similar experience who is able to prioritise, think of the bigger picture and stay calm in a reactive environment.• Good working knowledge of IP communications and understanding of general WAN/LAN networking principles.• A higher qualification in an ICA related discipline and extensive experience in SCADA maintenance is essential.• Due to the nature of the role, a full UK, driving licence is required.
In return, the Engineer will receive a salary of £34,000 - £46,000 per annum plus car allowance.
