THE ROLE: Senior Data Analyst (SAS programmer)- Cambridge, Cambridgeshire The role of the Senior Data Analyst is to lead on providing modelling and analytics support to the organisation. Such work will feed directly into policy discussions with the regulator (Ofqual) and other exam boards, and the grading of candidates.  The role is a balance of data management, data analytics and SAS programming What you’ll be doing- Senior Data Analyst (SAS programmer)- Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Deliver data analysis services to support clients commitments to JCQ, liaising with colleagues in other exam boards as necessary.Providing data to specification at short notice for clients (e.g. OCR, JCQ, OFQUAL) to inform discussions at technical meetings with other boards, and the regulators.Lead on the design and development of a grade modelling service to help set grade boundaries.Providing technical advice and support to colleagues across OCR. What we’re looking for: Senior Data Analyst (SAS programmer)- Cambridge, Cambridgeshire The ideal candidate will be an experienced SAS programmer, with experience of delivering business critical data analysis.  We are looking for someone who is highly attentive to detail, a focus on accuracy, ability to work to tight deadlines, and good communication skills.  Knowledge of the educational or assessment environment would be desirable, but training in this area will be provided. KEY CRITERIA- Senior Data Analyst (SAS programmer)- Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Expert programming skills in SAS, and knowledge of other software such as SPSS and Excel.A good understanding of computer systems and data management.A good knowledge of statisticsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills dealing with colleagues at all levels both internally and externally, including key stakeholders and customers.Time management skillsAn excellent eye for detailSAS certification in any or all of SAS programming, SAS management, SAS data integration or SAS business intelligence an advantage but not essential.Knowledge of assessment, and in particular the technical issues in assessment an advantage but not essential. A market leading utilities company is seeking an Operational Systems Asset Analyst based in Bristol to join its expanding team for 12 months. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, preparing and testing asset related data systems. To be a successful Operational Systems Asset Analyst you will have the following skills and experience: • Extensive experience in mainframe and personal computing tools.• Confidence in aspects of computer programming.• Excellent customer service skills. This is a temporary role for a minimum of 12 months which has the potential to be extended.
